Say Whaaaaaaaaaaa?!

Yeah, I know. I suck.

Commissions aren’t on hold per say, just letting y’all know that I’ve gotten behind on other things and need to catch up a bit.

TO DO LiST:

1) Bionicle. Yup, that’s right. I’m the new artist on Bionicle, the DC comics book done with LEGO. I’m keeping up with it but other things are starting to slide a little. Like…

2) School Work. That’s right. My edumacation is playing second fiddle a little bit. Well, not exactly either. I’m up to date (if not a lil’ early) on my projects for my Maya 3D class but I haven’t gone to my Art History class in a month. I’ll make it up though, somehow. Art history is pretty interesting!

3) Commissions. That’s right. Them things. I haven’t been able to touch them for over a week. And I probably won’t be able to touch them for another week. (Bionicle deadline is next week) So yeah, after that, I’m cool.

4) BLANK. Oh Yeah, there IS that. I’m still going to do it. Promise. I’m actually going to get a writer to help script it since I’m so bogged down. Plus, that person will have to deal with the rewriting crap. Hehehe.

Ummm, is that all?? I guess.

Or in this case, Delirium. Ok, ok… that was a stretch in trying to use the word Delirium. Pffft. Whatevah, I do what I want!

I had a chance to peek over at Brian Stelfreeze’s table this past weekend at the Baltimorecon. I was totally mesmerized by his technique. The catcher was – He made it look easy!

Anyways, I watched for as long as I could and recorded as much technique as I could in my pea brain before I had to get back to my table. (Seriously- I have to do something about that. I got up, maybe, four times the WHOLE con. Including piss breaks. I don’t do two’s at cons. That’s just fudged up. I’ll walk 2 miles to take a two back at my hotel room before I do a two at a con bathroom. I love you guys. I really, really do. But keee-rist, let’s work on peeing and two-ing into the damn toilet and not on the effing floor!)

Shoot. I tangented again. Where was I? Oh yeah. So I recorded everything I could into my pea-sized brain and was all excited to try out what I picked up.

Notice, I only tried out, like, one thing. Yeah. It’s a pea brain. Sorry. That’s all the room I had in there. The one technique.

Anyhow, I bit the bullet and tried out… Wait for it…

Colors.

That’s right! I stayed away from the tried but true muted colors and up the saturation and whatnot. Holy COW! eeeh…

It’ll take me a few hundred more tries before I get anywhere with this.
