STAR WARS sketch card HIATUS

Saturday, July 16th, 2005

Wow! Another auction has just ended. *^_^* We’ve done 6 auctions, 6 weeks straight! Well, too bad there will be no more ebay auction on sketch cards for a while. Pop has two projects (Blank & Batgirl) that need to meet their deadlines. On top of that, there’re family affairs that need our immediate attention. (read previous post)

It’s been fun posting and monitoring the auctions and I hope to see Pop draw some more STAR WARS soon!

May the Force be with You and You and You ~

Sorry everyone!

Friday, July 15th, 2005

Sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve been leaving it to the wife to update the blog for a while now. So what’s been going on?

Hmm, nothing all that interesting. Been trying to get back on track since Heroescon.

I say “trying” because it’s been pretty hard. Lots of distractions going on around these parts. I’m a creature of habit and the ideal work schedule for me has always been:

Wake up at aroung 7-8 am.

Surf online and read comics and manga for an hour to clear my head of cobwebs.

Get caught up on what I’m doing for the day. That takes about a half an hour.

Start drawing. This usually starts around 9 – 9:30.

The wife gets home around 4:30pm or so. We do the usual married couple thing for about an hour or two, then I get back to drawing. This is usually at a less fervented pace than earlier in the day.

Well, anyways. Been trying to get back on track with everything. It’s been rough. Lots of things that need attention, like now.

On the plus side, it also looks like things may clear up in a few weeks. My deadline for Batgirl is the 19th. Which means I have to bust out about 3 pages a day until then. Whoooooo-eee! I didn’t get anything done for BLANK last week. Not looking like I’ll have anything until after the 19th. :) I may try to squeeze in a page or so between then.

Oh yeah, we’re also trying to get the house fixed up to put on the market by the last week of this month. We were shooting for the 22nd at first, but… HAHAHAHAH! Yeah…

We also need to work things out with the loan peoples. Trying to get in at a good rate, since, you know, the rates are going up. Oh, we also need to check the house we are looking to buy to make sure this what we really want. (more debt)I think that may be happening today or tomorrow, but we need to work quickly if we want to put a contract in on that house. (It’s a seller’s market out here in Northern VA)

Only two more trips to the doctor’s for granny’s weekly Hyalcon shots. (I take care of all of granny’s healthcare needs, since, you know, I don’t have a REAL job… ie: I sit at home. aka: Not a real job) Not that I mind, actually. I’d rather it was me that took care of granny’s healthcare to make sure it’s on the up and up. :)

Right. Not done complaining yet.

This is one of those times that I curse myself for always experimenting with my art. If I had just stuck to the one thing and just did that everyday for ten years, I’d be like a machine! Pumping out pages without even thinking. 3 pages a day would be like a cakewalk! Ah… but yeah. Damn me!
I’m easily distracted anyways. Need to buckle down now. 3 pages a day! Ready? Set. GOOOOOOOO!

*ring* Oh hey, is that the phone? Wait, must be the mailman. No wait, it’s the DHL guy….. I wonder how my ebay item is doing? I wonder what Storming Norman’s up to?
Oh, I need to get my taxes back from the accountant…

Clone Wars: Asajj Ventress on eBay

Asajj VentressAsajj Ventress on Ebay Auction

Wow…I can’t believe Pop is actually getting serious with this set of Clone Wars color sketch cards. When he said he wanted to do something with the unused blank cards, like a set of Clone Wars characters and put on ebay weekly, I thought … Yeah … like you would have time to do this. I was wrong :) He actually enjoys coloring these sketch cards a lot!

Pop wants each card to be unique so he won’t draw the same thing over again. (I kind of wish he will do another Padme Amidala again…many people missed out on that one) Now he ran out of a popular character to sketch. There are 3 blank cards left!

Well … I told him I want to see R2D2 but here it is … Asajj Ventress :)

New Star Wars Sketch Card

Saturday, July 2nd, 2005
Another week, another sketch card …

This week, it’s “Anakin Skywalker” from the Clone Wars episode. I think we only have a couple of cards left. Pop is thinking real hard about a character he wants to put up next. It can’t duplicate the previous ones for collection purpose.

Well, so far … we’ve got 1. Yoda 2. Padme 3. Clone Troopers 4. The emperor 5. Aayla (not on ebay) and 6. Barriss (not on ebay) and 7. Anakin
